    AdvancedTomato - Optimized 136 build for 56U and 68U and r7000

The last time I tried tomato, it didn't have hardware NAT capability. I need that because I've got 500/500 fiber. Does this build have that?

    Slower Internet Speed After Routing

According to the review back then it "only" got around 800Mbit in the test, so I don't think it will do that speed in daily usage with more (wifi) clients and normal usage.

Merlin Firmware 380.57: Log Message Every 10 Minutes

Go to the LAN-DHCP server configuration and change the following setting to Yes: Hide DHCP/RA queries Profit

QoS: any point on 500Mbit synchronous Internet connection?

On an AC56U the speed is capped to about 325Mbit down and 400Mbit up if hardware nat is disabled.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.54_2 is now available

Yup, you're blind. It's under the WAN tab

    RT-AC56U ~200Mbps limit for bittorrent

376.47, but I get the same results with every firmware since this router was released.

20% speed increase with firewall keyword filter off

Thanks for the info, although most of us already knew that (more noticeable on faster connections), since it disables HW acceleration.

    RT-AC56U ~200Mbps limit for bittorrent

I can max out my internet connection with torrents using the ac56u. I've got 400/400 fiber connection; regular ethernet/dhcp, connected to router, so no pppoe. Using Deluge as my client and I usually get about 40MB/s-50MB/s.

This isn't encouraging after reading ASUS AC68 router requirements

Here in Holland we have some shops that specifically mention if a brand is using fully copper wires or the so called CCA (Copper Clad Aluminium) cables (for the blue and brown wires), because we caused a shirtstorm :P That being said, quality wires don't have to be expensive. You just need to do...

    Can RT-AC66U handle 250 Mbps?

That's odd. I had no problem getting 300Mbit with my N66u.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.38 is out

300Mbit/300Mbit optic fiber connection, using the RT-AC56U: HWA/CTF on: HWA/CTF off:

    RT-AC66U WAN-LAN limit

I have 300/300 FTTH connection with the RT-AC56U. I can hit that easily with both H/W accel. off or on. My connection is regular FTTH ethernet, not PPPoE.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.34 is out

Do you have QoS or URL Filter enabled? Those features turn off hardware acceleration. Make sure that it is working properly at the Tools tab.

How to check if beamforming works or not

You are looking at the 2.4Ghz Professional page, so switch to 5Ghz Frequency at the top.
