hi I have the ac68r.. and I think I've seem the hard drive do the 110 Mb/s speed it should be able to get via gbit ethernet and usb 3.0 speed.. but I haven't seen that in a long while.. in fact on average it does 25 MB/s for moving files.. I do believe I saw both dual core processors running at about 80% capacity when I did another movie tonight at the abysmal 25 MB/s..

I've got merlin on board but ahh.. why am I having piss-poor performance?

First of all, the router will never get anywhere near to 100 MB/s, as its CPU and its USB controler are nowhere powerful enough to match that of a modern PC. Best you can expect out of that router is around 50 MB/s.

If you only get 25 MB/s, then make sure you disable USB 3.0 interference reduction under Wireless -> Professional.

the most I get out of my a68u is about 85 MB/s regardless of the inference reduction setting - that setting doesnt seem to do much for me in terms of wireless or file transfers. Starts out at 120, but cant sustain that with files over 200mb and steadily drops as I am assuming the pipe is just saturated.

evh909, could you share your settings of /etc/fstab, /etc/smb.conf and "cat /proc/mounts"?
I only get about 50MB/s and would like to check my settings against yours. Big thanks.
