New Around Here
I just bought a D-Link DIR-825 wireless router.

Is there anything special I need to do with this router to get Remote Desktop running?

I didn't have to do anything special with my old SMC Barricade.

To connect from the Internet, you'd need to port forward TCP/3389.
For traffic within the LAN, no port configuration is necessary.

The 825 supports UPnP, which is enabled by default. So you shouldn't have to do anything for Remote Desktop. UPnP NAT Traversal should open the port automatically.
