The authors of the article tested 25 different Wi-Fi 7 marketed devices from common brands to find they all only partially support the minimum required Alternating MLO and none supports Simultaneous MLO. Then in comments there is a link to Ubiquiti response on Reddit and turns out no single Simultaneous MLO client currently exists on the market. It's like 2+ years after Wi-Fi 7 devices were introduced to the market and with Wi-Fi 8 on the horizon. They also found the obvious in this situation - 6GHz band only offers best performance and lowest latency. In other words MLO repeats MU-MIMO - used for marketing purposes only. The reason I told
@JamiryoFC to stop "optimizing" because there is nothing to optimize. MLO enabled on BT10 makes it only worse. It's was one of the tested devices.
Discover why Wi-Fi 7 routers fail to deliver true Multi-Link Operation (MLO). Our testing reveals shallow implementations and marketing that oversells the hardware.
