ASUS DSL-AX82U Wireguard stops working when my internet connection drops

New Around Here
I am using Merlin 388.2_2_0-gnuton1 firmware

I am able to Configure WireGauard successfully – its fantastic, virtually no speed drop.Howver when my new internet WAN connection (and previously VDSL) drops WG stops working. I can’t just change the setting to start again I need to reconfigure. Does anyone have ideas so that WG starts again when the connection is up?
