New Around Here
I have had my AC68U for a few months, and normally I do not have issues. However whenever I download a torrent and watch a YouTube video at the same time (Do not know if it happens with just the torrent because I am usually not at my computer), the internet drops. I am with Bell (Canadian ISP) and I have set my modem in bridge mode.

I am not sure why this is happening, and I am by no means a networking expert.

I have updated the firmware, but that did not help. I have also tried Merlin's build, I am currently on 376.47 (Merlin), but that also did not resolve the issue.

I am wondering if there may be some additional settings I need to set so I do not have any conflicts with my ISP.

This just happened again a little while ago, so I grabbed the log file. Here it is. The disconnect occurs near the top, and I grabbed the rest of the log file (it continues in the second post). I really hope someone can help, as this router was not cheap, and it has a ton of features.

Your DSL is going down:

Oct 6 22:51:39 pppd[23198]: Timeout waiting for PADO packets

Sounds like either a line issue or a modem issue. See if your modem loses sync when it happens. If it does, try a different modem, or have Bell test your line.

This was not happening when I was using my modem directly with a switch. I will try again directly through the modem and see if the issue occurs (maybe it somehow broke right as I started using this router :S?).

Thanks.

Check the phone cable (which might have been moved as you installed the router or moved the modem), and make sure you do have your line filters on all your other phone devices (unless Bell installed a POT splitter at the demarc).

I have this exact same problem. Did you manage to fix it? If so, how? I can't figure out whether it's my router or modem at fault.
