No, that doesn't change anything, you are copying the old settings then recopying them back. The whole point of this factory reset is to start out new with the new feature set.
Which presumably means you also need to factory-reset all of your AIMesh client nodes and join them back in?

If you mean AiMesh nodes like other ASUS routers and RPs the easiest way is to go to the Management (tab) and Remove each one one by one until all are gone. Then following factory reset add them back one by one. It is easier than trying to hold the WPS flipping on the power, waiting for the power light to turn off, then flipping off and on power switch on each node...
