Yeah, I'm also really curious if there's a solution for the hard lockup issue I had earlier when using App Analysis.

Could be a UI glitch, since FA is not available on the RT-AC68U. Only the RT-AC68P, RT-AC87, and RT-AC3200.

yeah, I searched the forums and saw you write this elsewhere. but I posted about it because it seemed to be more than a UI glitch.

surely a UI glitch wouldn't carry over to another config section and actually give me interactive feedback in consideration of the change I was about to make to the WAN type.

had an interesting situation re NAT acceleration.

[...]

So, I'm really wondering what allowed it to work after that factory reset... :)

This happened EXACTLY to my AC68U.
In the "switch control" page, both type accelerations were displayed for a while.
Merlin (and I believe in him:) ) answered me that Asus keep FA disabled...

I have had HW acceleration level choices showing on my AC68U a few times. Definitely a glitch as the options disappeared when I changed pages.

I don't see how you are determining that WPS is enabled - Wifi Analyzer does not mention anything related to WPS with either my RT-AC87U, or any of my neighbours. Can you provide a screenshot?

Hi,
this is how it looks on my Wifi Analyzer:

and on my Win8.1:

Update:
For the time being I resolved the problem by disabling SSID broadcast, for hidden networks, the bug doesn't occur.

@RMerlin Did you see my questions about the IPTV GUI? Or did I ask for something that has been asked before or did I ask for it in the wrong place?

Improvements to the VLAN support is regularly requested, and it's currently out of the question, as it would be a headache to do that without breaking the rest of Asus's code.

Hi,

I don't get any WPS report on my own RT-AC87U when I checked with my Nexus 9.

Doe sthis firmware works at the RT-Ac3200?

Thanks

Not yet, no. It's under development, and I don't have any ETA. However, it shouldn't be more than 1-2 weeks for a public alpha build, as progress went faster than expected (faster than with the previous new models I had to add).

Thanks

Any Eta to merlin builds become to 3200 one?

Thanks again

Merlin said in post #1 : Once the dust has settled on this release .50 (meaning after any minor update releases if necessary), I will begin work on adding support for the RT-AC3200. Complete support for that device will probably take a few weeks, as it involves merging in a new SDK into the code repository

Be patient :D

Are you using a VPN tunnel? If yes, that might be obfuscating all your traffic from the router's DPI engine.

Otherwise, I don't know. Both the DPI engine and the components that interact with it are closed source, and I have never experienced that issue here.

I wonder why it doesn't work, because I don't use any VPN.
Maybe it's an Asus secret.... :(
So, Asus, if you hear me, make Bandwidth monitor and Traffic analyzer working fine!

Thanks guys

Asus released a new FW that fixed the issue with the two 5Ghz bands was not so expert as it should be, now it`s fine

And by the way, i`m enjoying this way much that the 87U, GUI way faster and the Broadcom Chip seems to woork better than the quantennas one

Do you have hidden SSIDs? After flash and factory reset I didn't touch the WPS tab at all as it stated disabled, yet broadcasted as capable...
No, both SSID are broadcasted.

Have you actually tried to connect using WPS ? Does it connect ? That would confirm if that function is working and a possible issue.

WLAN <-> LAN Throughput Issues

Doing some tests between my laptop and server connected to the AC68U. Seems to be an issue with WLAN <-> LAN traffic when Adaptive QOS is on -

Iperf between laptop and server with Adaptive QOS -

Code:
$ iperf -c 192.168.9.35 -t 20 -i 1

[ 3] 0.0-20.0 sec 839 MBytes 352 Mbits/sec

Performance is good when traditional QOS is on (or when QOS is completely switched off), but once Adaptive QOS is activated, WLAN <-> LAN traffic slows to a crawl.

Any ideas?
