New Around Here
I have a netword with three routers - a 857 connects to the Comcast modem and 2 615's are hardwired to the 857. I have once PC hardwored to a 615. Before I installed the 857 I had an old 655 connected to the modem.

Here is my issue: After I changed the main router from the 655 to a 857 my hardwored PC loads webpages very slow. The download speed seems to be the same as before - ~30 MIPs but when I go to a new URL it takes forever. The wireless PC loads pages faster than the hardwored PC.

Any ideas as to what is the issue? I have about 100 feet of Cat 5 wire as the connection.

on hardwired PC, do a command window ping 192.168.1.1 or whatever the IP address of your PC's gateway is (router's LAN side address). Look for 1 mSec times, 0 lost packets.

then, on the wired PC, do the command ipconfig /all
see if the DNS server IP makes sense.
