Hello everyone,

We have a company and common internet connectivity, my home network receives internet from there assigned via specific switch and IP :172.16.xx.xx

I have a ASUS AC 5300 i have connected the lan cable to the WAN port and under settings i have used STATIC IP (172.16.xx.xx)

Now my devices under the router have a different ip 192.xx.xx.xx

When i create a OvPN server the config file specifies my IP address 172.16.xx.xxx where as my global ip provided by ISP is different.

How to setup a VPN server in this case?

172.16.xx.xx is a private IP address which indicates your Asus is behind another NAT device, maybe the "specific switch" you mention.

You need to talk to your ISP and ask them if they can provide you with a public IP address. If not maybe they can put your Asus in a DMZ.
