ICMPv6 suddenly being filtered?

Hi guys

I recently purchased a new router, namely the GT-AC2900.

What I noticed is that this router - unlike my old Asus router - filters ICMPv6. This is very strange considering Asus and Merlin are known to be ping 6 friendly. Why this sudden change?

How do I undo this filtering of ICMPv6? Turning on "Respond ICMP Echo (ping) Request from WAN" doesn't seem to help.

It's a recent thing done by Asus and has carried over to Merlin. I have no idea why it was changed or the reason behind it.

Not sure possibly a firewall rule.
