merlin firmware warnings

Whenever I update to the latest merlin firmware my windows ten laptop gives me a warning ⚠ when I am downloading it.It states , warning the type of file I am downloading can harm my computer, I just Ignore it, naturally, and to date after many updates I have had no problem at all.Does anyone know why it gives me that particular warning ⚠

It's a zip archive. I don't see why a browser would complain about downloading a zip archive...

The strange thing is it didn't give me the warning this last update (14) Go figure eh

I should point out emphatically that IT DOES NOT AND NEVER HAS HARMED MY LAPTOP PS sorry Eric I should have picked my words more carefully for the heading

Do you save the file or download and open simultaneously? It might complain about opening a zip file directly from the internet, especially Sourceforge.net.

Oh ok I'm not actually sure now but thanks for that Dave next time I do one I'll take my brain out of automatic so I can remember what I do
