Hi guys,
I have a refurb netgear WNDR3700(v1) and it was working great at first ( great coverage, fast) but then occasionally it couldn't get the IP address from ATT dsl modem. Then my brother gave me his WNDR3700(v4)(bought new) that he stopped using for the same reason (he has comcast modem). The second one worked for me about 4-5 months then now the problem seems to be more frequent.
So I was just curious and flashed my old router with DD-WRT firmware and it seems working very well, has been 2 weeks without problem. I really love the new capabilities the DD-WRT offers but I noticed the drop in performance and signal quality, although it's not that bad. I also lost the DLNA music streaming capability.
Any thought and any advice for improving the signal quality? or it's time to get the new router.
Thanks,
thang.
