OpenVPN run TCP VPn and UDP VPn at the same time ?

Hi,
my vpn provider offers both TCP and UDP Vpn servers. Should I configure and activate both ? Eg TCP in Client 1 and UDP in Client 2 slots or do I just need to start one of them ?

Go with UDP in the first instance, it's faster. TCP if UDP proves to be unreliable.

With TCP each packet's safe arrival is checked, and , if necessary, the packet is resent. With UDP the packets get sent and if they don't arrive, so be it. So there'd be no point in using TCP to watch video content. Hence Jack's advice on speed vs reliability.

Oooo, that's a pretty broad statement that makes a lot of assumptions. Particularly about how the "video" is being delivered and the quality of the connection. And it gets even more weird when you realise that because the VPN is encapsulating your "normal" traffic you end up with TCP over TCP, or TCP over UDP, or UDP over TCP, or UDP over UDP.
