I am no longer running any external scripts on my external, but AMTM and Entware are still active. Just wondering if there is a proper procedure to retire and disconnect the drive.

Cheers.

You can disable "Custom scripts and configs" in Administration, System and unmount the USB drive. You may want to format it to NTFS or FAT before that in "External USB disk status", Format otherwise it won't be recognized on a Windows PC. There are other ways to restore the drive to default.

Step 2:
... question yourself why you would no longer want to run custom scripts!!

Step 3:
Question your decision again...

Step 4:
After the 4 stages of denial, anger, bargaining, depression, you have finally come to acceptance... and are OK with why you smashed it with a hammer.
