I recently upgraded to RT2900 aka 86u. I still can't get smooth connections when my girl is streaming. I see her streaming devices goes under streaming category or others. Sometimes my call of duty game dosn't even have a single rate at "game" category... I really think this game is broken due the bad net coding.

I get a smooth connection but I do get a new ping spikes, which I believe are related to my VDSL2 connection.

Also it depends on your connection as well to the server or the host of the match.

Watch these videos it will explain the issue in netcode with the game:

I had lag spikes when I played on cable, it was terrible. I have now fiber its perfect. I have tested it and I have barley any lag spikes. I have to config the QOS properly to get it work. I have seen the COD gets detected as 3074 in GAME which is correct but I dont see any rate in kb in game category only game downloads which is my ps4, streaming goes as other or streaming. I turned of QOS yesterday and it worked great even when i streamed. I believe I have to manually config and add the ps4 to gaming and chromecast to the streaming category, what you think?

That would work you would only need to use the optional gaming rules for the PS4 which would set it's traffic to gaming priority aslo by any chance do you have spanning tree protocol enabled under lan >switch control?

I understand the first part, how to add static ip! Lets say I set the ps4 as 192.168.1.100. I dont understand the CIDR calculator, I dont know what to put as mask... whats the next part?

Yes Spanning is enabled.

Yes Spanning is enabled.
Try disabling spanning tree see if that helps.

These are the ports my Ps4 using. I will add these to gaming category

If you use 192.168.1.128/26, this means you're reserving gaming IPs from 192.168.1.128 - 192.168.1.191.

However, if you have say 3 or 5 gaming devices, you can use 192.168.1.128/29, and this will reserve IPs from:

192.168.1.128 - 192.168.1.135

Also, please ensure you give your gaming devices static IP address that match in FreshJR script!

Good luck!

Thanks guys, I finally found a solution for this, just added the port 3074 as remote for gaming and now when I’m streaming everything is smooth AF! I also disabled stp protocol!
