ROKU 2 will not connect to a EXT network

i have a Netgear 1900 with a WN3000Rd EXT network connected.
I had Several old ROKUs that connected to it easy.
I now have a brand new ROKU 2. It will not connect to my network using the EXT.
If I use my regular 5G or 2.4G network, they connect.
Any ideas?
Does the EXT unit change the MAC ID?
I tried to add the static MAC ID to my Nighthawk 1900 without success
