Upgrade from RT-AC86U

New Around Here
My setup is a little messy because my desktop PC and storage are at the family house and I live elsewhere.

Family House:
  • Virgin Media 1Gbps Broadband (Modem)
  • RT-AC86U Router
  • HP 1810-24G Switch (1Gbps to Router)
  • Synology DS1821+ NAS (Docker with Nginx, AdGuard Home etc.) [4 x LACP to HP Switch]
  • D-Link DES-1210-28P (PoE for 9 x IP Cameras - NAS as NVR) [2 x LACP to HP Switch)
  • PC with Xeon E5-2690 and 64GB RAM (Plex Server) [2 x LACP to HP Switch]

Second House:
  • Virgin Media 500Mbps Broadband (Router)
  • Dell Wyse 5070 N11D (Proxmox with Home Assistant, Nginx Proxy and AdGuard Home)
  • Hikvision DS-7616NI-M2/16P (NVR and PoE for 8 x IP Cameras)
I recently started playing around with AdGuard Home and found that it wasn't effective at the second property because DNS cannot be set on Virgin Super Hubs. I started looking into which router to get was considering:
GL.iNet GL-MT6000 (Flint 2)
GL.iNet GL-BE9300 (Flint 3)

Leaning towards Flint 2 because I just don't need much at the second property - AdGuard would then run on the router.

This then got me thinking about upgrades for the family house. It is a much bigger property and the network handles loads more traffic (majority between WAN, NAS and PC) so for the router I was thinking:
  • Asus TUF-AX6000
  • GL.iNet GL-MT6000 (Flint 2)
  • GL.iNet GL-BE9300 (Flint 3)

NAS:
  • UGREEN 2.5Gbps USB Ethernet Adapter (RTL8156BG)

PC:
  • TP-Link TX201 2.5 Gigabit PCI Express Ethernet Network Adapter

Everything else that connects to the switches can remain as is.

As I'm writing this, I've realised that both NAS and PC would need to connect to router and from what I can tell only the Flint 3 has enough 2.5Gbps ports to support this. A Flint 2, Flint 3, 2.5Gbps PCIe and 2.5Gbps USB comes to £274.15.

Can someone sanity check this to make sure I'm not being silly please?
