I am looking for an ADSL Router that can provide the best SQM without paying an arm or leg for that and without paying much of my maximum bandwidth to achieve that.
Unfortunately OpenWRT almost support no DSL Router + devices available in my country are very limited. I can't provide a list for all available ADSL routers, but I can look for devices that any of you suggest to me.

So far as this forum seems to be concerned your best bet would probably be the RT-AX86U with a separate modem and running the Merlin firmware or either of the DSL-AX82U or DSL-AC68U running the GNUTON (independent Merlin DSL fork).

With Merlin or GNUTON firmware you then have the option of using (discussion):
CAKE QOS: Modern Smart Que Management that needs little user intervention.
FlexQoS: Tweakable hardware-accelerated prioritizing QOS decided at the application level.

I heard that ASUS stuff are with broadcom CPUs which why they are not good because of being locked unlike Qualcomm and other Mediatek chips so fq_codle won't work as good as it should. By how far is this correct?
