Wireguard RT-AX86U "Protocol not supported"

Hi all!

VPN provider recently updated all their Wireguard keys (because they suspected a breach) so I had to download a new config from them and set up Wireguard again on my RT-AX86U.
Updated the router to 3004.388.6_0.
Rebooted.
Uploaded the new VPN-config from my provider to the Wireguard client interface... and it doesn't work:
Just throws out "Unable to access interface: Protocol not supported" in the client status log.

What now?
Backup, Factory reset and then update it again to 3004.388.6_0 and then try again?
Or go through Entware or...
Any and all advice is welcome

Post the VPN-config that you downloaded from your provider (I'm assuming it's a generic profile without any of your personal details) so that we can take a look at it.

really hoping you changed some chars in the keys. If not, please edit your post and do so, then throw this file away and generate a new one.

I also have Wireguard via 5th July Foundation (Integrity) and uploaded new config files just the other day. No problems.
Check all fields in the gui so the import came out ok. I've been had acouple of times missing to press the upload button after selecting file and just click apply. This do not work.

Nah, just the plain vanilla one.

Thanks. I've flushed it now through 5th July systems so that one isn't valid anymore.

If you're IPv4 only then I suggest you remove all the IPv6 addresses from your config and try loading that instead.

Still same.

The router seems iffy.
Can't seem to ssh to it, gives an instant connection timeout.
Can't reboot from web gui.

I'll see if a clean reboot (another one) fixes any of this.

Yeah something's whacky generally. Now I have to restart my main computer to even get a connection when rebooting the router.
I think I need a clean install/factory reset.

Yep, that did it. Solved a lot of weird stuff. Wireguard works again.
