I bought the new Chromecast with 5Ghz Support and it all works pretty well no matter if I choose my 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz SSID.

All apps like Netflix, YT stream without any issues, however "Cast Screen" stops immeditately on the 5Ghz band whilst on 2.4Ghz does not.

I've tried enabling IMGP but no fix, anyone else with the same issue?

The 5Ghz options are very limited so I have no idea what may cause this.

I upgraded my RT-AC87U to fw 3.0.0.4.378.9177 and was keep getting logged out of the GUI and got redirected to the "settings have been updated" webpage.
I tried to reset back to factory settings but it didn't help.
I had to revert back to fw 3.0.0.4.378.5134 to get it fixed. Can anyone confirm this problem?
I've found many threads about this issue but nobody seems to know how to fix it.

I've found when you get that message the router is still in the process of booting and you need to be patient and wait until the router is done rebooting and the device you're using gets an IP address, sometimes it can take as long a 5 minutes to be able to log back in. Typically you will be presented with a login page after about 5 or so minutes.

I had to revert back to old firmware as well. Same issue as some. Go to log in page and sign in to blank white screen can't get into GUI. Used the rescue utility to go back to old firmware and viola all works fine. Yes I did try firefox IE and Chrome. I also factory reset the unit before and after the update to this firmware. Not sure what the problem is but can't use this firmware. I'm on Windows 10. If anyone finds a solution please post it. Tech support was useless

Dear Dratifk,

Possible provide a print screen of the blank white including the URL.

Best regard,

Also, could you open your web browser console while on the blank page, and report any Javascript error that might show there? It could be something in your configuration causing a Javascript error since not everyone is experiencing the issue.

Any of this help?

Looks like you are being denied access to the various web files. Could you try with a different browser, to rule out any conflict caused by your browser and any installed add-ons? Also make sure you aren't blocking cookies or referrers, as it could possibly interfere with the router's web server.

Yeah I get the same thing in edge, firefox (above right which is a fresh install) and chrome (above left incognito window).

I've had the same issue, I've been doing some testing over the past few days. I've noticed if I manually type in 192.168.1.1/Advanced_Wireless_Content.asp I can get to the page. If I try to going to network map, or QOS it seems like the webserver resets. I get the settings have changed message and tells me to refresh the page. Tried it on different browsers and 4 different computers got the same results.

Looks like I can get in that way as well.

This sounds a lot like the ESET NOD32 problem from way back when. One possibility is to make sure that your router IP is whitelisted in whatever Antivirus / URL filter you're using. ESET, at least, was blocking 192.168.1.1 and causing all kinds of trouble with this router.

Thanks, not using any antivirus on my laptop though. This seems to be a recurring event in the log.

No, my router was up for more than 2 hours and it was still behaving like that. It just takes me back to wether to the login screen or to the "setting have been updated" screen depending on the browser I use. There might be something wrong with the router's httpd as indicated by post #135 of this thread.

I suspect your httpd might be crashing, so it gets restarted by the watchdog.

Do any of you with the gui access problem have an HP MF Printer network attached? One user had the same problem on a previous release, and it went away if he disconnected the printer. We weren't able to figure out what was unique about the printer attach.

I don't have any kind of printer at all.

I Have a Hp Laser jet 200 Printer on the network. But I never tried to disconnect it. I reverted back to the older firmware so no more issues for me and honestly I spent way too much time trouble shooting this and don't have more time to figure it out. I'll wait until there is solution. For the record there is no error just blank white screen. I was able to get in randomly right after a reboot but a second attempt would not work. Tried 3 different computers and 3 different browsers. Also, I have a Rt68U I use as an access point and I also upgraded that to the newest firmware and same issue with blank screen on logging in. I reverted the firmware and that works now.
