hello again . today i've exchanged my rt-n66r for rt-ac68r . although i didn't have any problems with wifi connections with my nexus 4, i do with the current router stock updated firmware . both 2.4/5ghz frequency seems to drop connections . i downloaded wifi analyzer for the android phone and changed channels to bandwiths with no success . has anyone got a workaround fix ?

There seems to be an issue with the Nexus 4's 5G and the RT-AC68R. Upstream is fine, but downstream gives me around 1 Mbits instead of the 30 Mbits my WAN connection has.

2.4 GHz however is rock-solid for me.

did some research and people that used cyanogenmod were affected with the wifi drop . my wife has kitkat stock rom and she's getting solid connections .

yeah merlin i've updated with 374.41 build and same story . if you say 5ghz has some problems i should revert my nexus back to stay clear of wifi drops .

you could set wifi on your phone to just 2.4ghz.

or see this thread for a solution: http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15769&highlight=android+wifi
