Hi guys, first post on SNB so bare with me.
I purchased the Asus ROG AX11000 about a week ago, it is a few years old now but still up there’s as a great router. The issue I’m having is that, it’s advertised as “lower ping” but can’t really lower the ping when in an online game or under load. I’ve tried different firmwares, all QOS settings but have the same issue constantly with high ping.
I’m from the UK and my ISP is Virgin media, it uses DOCSIS which is known to have instability issues. I can get 12ms to the router but it triples when I connect to any server from different games.
I know there’s no magical button that instantly makes your connection better but if someone has some insight or an in depth settings guide for gaming, it would be greatly appreciated.
