I still feel this is a bufferbloat issue. It says to overcome this, need SQM feature. Even with high speed connection, bufferbloat can cause problems because its a latency issue. Not a throughput issue. This probably why when I limit it to 40mbps, it will still cause problem despite I have big bandwidth which Ive subscribe. Anyone know if ASUS AX88U has this SQM feature "? SQM = Smart Queue Management.
depending on your paid speeds
@Kingp1n , is it to use the Asus speed test. Determine X upload and Y download. Then turn on Asus cake and put X and Y. The rest, the router will do the work? Are you using asuswrt-merlin firmware? Try using CAKE (depending on your paid speeds) or install FlexQoS. Let us know if this fixes the issue.

In Asus GUI, I can see Asus Cake. But cannot find FlexOS

i meant to say flexQOS resolved the issue. Im using the default. I don’t understand why flexQOS not available and need manual install. Secondly, is there a way to customize the priority with gaming being the first since it requires the shortest latency@bennor, thank you so much. Apparently after installing this, it didnt crash. Is there a way to classify GAMING as top priority so that it has the shortest latency ?
FlexQoS is a third party addon script. One will typically use AMTM to install the script, or use the third party addon script's specific method of manual installation. Addon scripts are generally maintained by a third party software developer not affiliated with Asus. It is the capability to use these third party addon scripts that make Asus-Merlin firmware so valuable and a step above the stock Asus firmware.I don’t understand why flexQOS not available and need manual install.
