you'd think for hundreds of dollars they'd heatsink these better
i'm sick of buying routers i keep having to diy rig up fans to
so they don't have a melt down a month after their warranty ends

psa - before you buy any of these new AX routers,
keep in mind that merlin and gang of script gurus
does not write to those cpu's.

who knows... in a few years we may be paying
a premium for "old" routers just to keep merlin

My AX88U runs fine.

And i've posted temps with and without additional cooling there is no issue.

Bring up a good question. At some point in time Asus will not use Broadcom CPU's. I wonder if Merlin is thinking about the future and saying to himself. "Ummm.... Maybe I'll have to support different CPUs"

I would love to have my home network running with 10gig... I like the AX89X router.
