Asus EOL = Merlin EOL?

As an example, the ASUS End-of-life product list page (https://www.asus.com/event/network/EOL-product/) lists the RT-AC5300 as an EOL model. Is it safe to assume it will soon be moved to the "No longer supported" list on Merlin's page https://www.asuswrt-merlin.net ?

When RMerlin stops receiving GPL code for a model, and/or, can't backport any important/major fixes to the older units, that is when it will go on his NLS status.

At that point, it is effectively best used as a Media Bridge within a network you care about security for.

considering the complexity of the AsusWRT code - if a target it moved to EOL by Asus... it's likely time to consider an upgrade on hardware,

only @RMerlin can state what is supported or not...

Asus EOL-ed recently manufactured and still available on the market RT-AC65, RT-AC65P, RT-AC67P, RT-AC2400, RT-AC2600... sorry folks and thank you.
