Will this impact other routers from ASUS firmware?


The firmware you are referring, is it only for the Japanese version for ASUS RT-AC68U?
For what I understand, the Asus Asia made routers, use only the ASIA firmware.
The North American firmware is used only in Canada and USA. Central America and South America uses their respective regional firmware.

Feel free to correct, I'm starting to get crazy.

I did called Asus customer support in reference my questions, for the big surprise, their firmware is specific for each Asus Routers. What matters? who and How and what part of the world, the firmware is been distributed. Meaning HTTP, or automatic download from the router. For example: in Asia there is one server in china, middle-east India, etc.
anyhow just keeping everyone interested.
