ASUS RT-AC86U (merlin Current Version : 386.12_6): jffs2: Argh. No free space left for GC. Can you help me troubleshoot this please?

I have been losing connection to my router. It seems like it is sometimes triggered when someone else in the house connects to wifi. Other times it is random.

I checked the logs:

I searched the forums a bit. I could not figure out how to disable Traffic Analyzer. I turned off statistics. Maybe that is what people mean? I tried SSH into router and deleting the traffic analyzer.db but completely delete TrafficAnalyer eanyhow because there was no space on the device.

nt_center.db was the largest file I found. Again, I cannot delete with rm command ("no space left on the device"). Maybe I am using the wrong command?

btw, before you posted this I tried downloading JFFS via GUI. I deleted the NC amd trafffic db files from the tar file, then reuploaded the JFFS tar file via GUI and rebooted router. Still get same errors in logs.

it appears the nc db file is the same size as it was before i restored the jffs

Do you have the option "Format JFFS partition at next boot" in Administration - System? If so you could use that to wipe the JFFS partition and then reload the contents from the backup file you just made.

P.S. Take a second backup beforehand, just in case.

That seemed to have worked! It's been 10 mins and I am not getting the error message. Thank you for your help.
