Thanks I left it on all day assume something is wrong with it.
As soon as power goes on that LED lights up instant.
There are no other signs of anything going on.
I am trying to message support about a repair or replacement.
Typing the serial number on ASUS website says please talk to Best Buy.
Best Buy says talk to ASUS so its like what the heck.
Was hoping there were some pins to short or something and get it going

problably needless to say, but I assume you've already checked that the reset button is not "hanged" but still clicks when you gently push it...

and already tried wps reset and made a go with Asus restoration tool: https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1000814/

No its not not the reset but thanks I will watch for that in the future.
Yes tried the programs it dont even show up in the pc.
Try to get through to the ASUS support and see if I can RMA.

RT-AX86U dirty upgraded from 10_2 to 11. No issues. New traffic monitor graphics are a significant improvement. Custom script reports from the daily/monthly traffic historical file as before with no problems.

Then you are not running 388.11.

It was the reverse proxy cache, now I see the new version.

updated from RT-AX58U_3004_388.10_2 to RT-AX58U_3004_388.11_0 but still get notification that there's an upgrade, at the top of the page I see the old firmware but if I go into the firmware upgrade page I see the new firmware.
also AI cloud is still visible, tried rebooting, clearing cache and cookies and even resetting the router.

I had a similar situation with my RT-AX88U. Only way around it was to first backup config and JFFS and install 388.11_0 using the ASUS rescue process. I did have to reinstall Diversion after the update completed.

that wasn't the issue on my side, it was reverse proxy caching..

For some unknown reason, my Wi-Fi device's connection diagnostics aren't always updating. The device is no longer online, but the router shows it's still online. Restarting the router updates the diagnostics. Restarting the ACL also updates the diagnostics. Is this a bug?

I have here no problem. Did you try the easy solutions first? Like clear the cache browser or try with a other browser?

Too many changes, this requires a clean install / reset / fresh setup, do no not import saved settings and the login password requirements have changed.

Did a Dirty Update to my main and mesh router.

Did a Factory Default several times now.

Setup my ISP details then on to wifi using a password used before and lastly to router login.

Logon to router and change IP to 192.168.1.254 , dhcp updates. Disable WPS. Check Wifi and its set to "WPA/WPA2 Personal"

Setup ssh access and move on to Guest Network, after its setup I check my wifi and for its authentication method it set to open and will not let me change it.

Tried disabling Guest Networks and rebooting. Still will not change wifi from Open to "WPA/WPA2 Personal"

Tearing my hear out with this one.

Personally, since buying the RT-AX86U in 2021 never had to do anything but upgrade firmware to the latest version. Maybe it's the incremental changes, going from latest to latest may be easier?

Tried all the fixes from ChatGPT and couldn't get it to work, until it suggest to downgrade back to 3004.388.8.4 and eufy video doorbell worked again.

Should I upgrade to his version 11?

Homebase 2 doesn't allow to assign ip address directly, wired works fine, but wireless doesn't work with firmware version 3006.

Enabled Jumbo Frame and Link Aggregation for my NAS (reboot)

Setup 2.4Ghz guest network with WPA2

Limited my addons in my signaturee

Seems Stable for the last hour.

I am curious if this has anything to do with the new router firmware, does it? If you have a more complex setup I'd stay 100% on 3004.388.8.4 if that one works for you.
