Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.6 is now available

Has anyone been able to successfully block URLs under the Firewall tab? AX86U Pro with latest Merlin firmware. No matter what URL I enter in the deny list, I can still access it from my devices. I've even rebooted the router after making the changes but still no luck.

7 days later - nothing to report 😎
Just about to roll into day 11 & my 5ghz bubble seems a bit bigger…according to the on-board scan, I’m the only AX router nearby, so I don’t believe it was interference…I’m probably imagining it

reporting that UPNP doesnt work when enabled, games that did work in 102.5 does not work in 102.6

Same here.
Installed 102.6 and did a factory reset (WPS reset or Administration - Restore). Manually config all the settings I use and UPnP is enabled. Xbox Series X shows NAT Type: Moderate.

Sorry for going a little off topic here:
It doesn't look like a Asuswrt-Merlin issue because it happens with the factory firmware on the ASUS GT-AX6000 too.
Also done with factory reset (WPS reset or Administration - Restore) and manually config all the settings with UPnP enabled.
ASUS GT-AX6000 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_34825, UPNP enabled works.
ASUS GT-AX6000 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_34860 and 3.0.0.6.102_34876, UPnP enabled doesn't work correctly on the Xbox.

But did you also try resetting (forgetting) the network connection ON the Xbox..?

Yes. I tried everything.
I tried another way and it seems to work. I installed 102.5. Restore with the checkmark selected. Manually config everything with UPnP enabled. Then installed 102.6 (UPnP was enabled after install) and left it as is. Not doing a restore or factory reset. Xbox NAT is showing Open Nat.

After my 5 time, the firmware finally took and is now displayed correctly as 3006.102.6. Wanted to put this here in case others has the same issue. But his time I did not manually reboot. Just waited and once the router came back up. I just reconnected to the wifi and checked the version.

Can confirm I had the same issue dirty upgrading 3006.102.4 to 3006.102.6 on an AXE16000. As long as I rebooted manually when it said to, the update failed to take (attempted this twice). So I came here, went through the whole thread, saw your post, tried again ignoring the directive to reboot manually, and it finally came up as 3005.102.6. Thank you for posting that!

Hi

I don't know if this is related to the new firmware or not - I have been running it since it came out, without any problems up until now, but this morning my router said it was not connected to the internet and when I tried to log into the router's admin page, instead of the normal page loading up it took to me a "Welcome" page, as if the router were completely brand new and needed reconfiguring. I had no choice but to go through the process. As it happens, all I needed was to create a network name and password, and the router then went to the normal admin page and all my other settings were still there, i.e. I didn't need to reconfigure everything else, such as AIMesh etc., which would have been a real pain.

This the first time this has happened, and as I say, may be completely unrelated to the new firmware.

It would be helpful to know which model you're referring to. Please add your setup to your signature.

I think I've discovered that automatic logout isn't working. Could someone please check this?

Seems to work for me - I have it set to 360 minutes.
It keeps me logged in when I use it occasionally during the day, but I'm always logged out by next morning.

Thanks will have a look then. Seems to be when I go to the system log, only have these installed:

skynet
scribe
uiscribe
tailmon
In my case I have skynet, scribe, uiscribe, connmon, scmeerlin and unbound installed.

Just for testing purposes: on which page should it work?
Easier to list the pages where it is disabled:
Code:
AdaptiveQoS_Bandwidth_Monitor.asp:AUTOLOGOUT_MAX_MINUTE = 0;
AdaptiveQoS_ROG.asp:AUTOLOGOUT_MAX_MINUTE = 0;
Captive_Portal_Advanced.asp:AUTOLOGOUT_MAX_MINUTE = 0;
Main_LogStatus_Content.asp:AUTOLOGOUT_MAX_MINUTE = 0;
Main_Spectrum_Content.asp:AUTOLOGOUT_MAX_MINUTE = 0;
Main_TrafficMonitor_last24.asp:AUTOLOGOUT_MAX_MINUTE = 0;
Main_TrafficMonitor_realtime.asp:AUTOLOGOUT_MAX_MINUTE = 0;
Main_WStatus_Content.asp:AUTOLOGOUT_MAX_MINUTE = 0;

For a quick update, going on 12 days full stability on the BE88U after addressing the autowan restarts. Not sure why the attempted restarts continue to occur, though they are ignored at the moment and not causing any issues.

The only issue I have seen at all is related to instability with my BE86U where VLANs stop working arbitrarily. The SSID will still be broadcasting but the VLAN doesn't appear to function. This occurs while running this Merlin firmware along with the current stock firmware (3.0.0.6_102_39125); as an aside, the current stock did resolve the random reboots, so this seems to be something else with this model specifically.

I also have a BE82U running stock as it does not support Merlin, and it has had no issues, again leading me to believe this is something specific with the BE86U regardless of firmware version.

I’ve had the same problem in the past. Look at the port forwarding table and see if it is showing the UPnP port forwarding. My Xbox app on the pc always initially shows moderate, but the UPnP forwards show. If I see the Xbox app ports forwarded I can usually reboot the router then the PC. The first time I run something like Call of Duty after that it will report moderate, but if I close and open the game again it shows as open.

Sometimes I figured it was broken and then checked again after a while and it was reporting open.
