New Around Here
Hi, I am just setting up my new TS-253A. When I try to create a new volume, it is asking "Select and configure disks", but it shows "NAS Host [available disk(s): 0/2]", and the table below shows nothing. Bottom line NAS host sees nothing, however, I have two HDDs 3Tb each. But..!!, when I go to "Storage", it shows System- Enclosure: 2, Disk: 2, NAS Hose status - Green.
What am I doing wrong? Please advise.
Thank you

If the drives were previously used in another NAS, there's a different process to migrate them - if the NAS was QNAP, there's info on how to do this in the user documentation.

If there's nothing on the drives that you care about - start over by resetting everything (factory reset), by shutting everything down, removing the drives, and turning the NAS back on and go thru the setup wizard.

This is all in the user documentation - QNAP has user guides on online that might be more current than the docs you received with your NAS
