After I tried several times the Download Master, trying to download large files, here's some feedback:
1. once transfer is in progress, internet bandwidth for all router clients severely drops, even when download/upload speeds in DM are capped in at about 20% of the available ISP bandwidth. Nothing like that happens when I download the same file using uTorrent on the client computer.
2. I hoped to help this situation by adjusting QoS, but router itself does not show up in QoS.
I think, in order for Download Master to be useful, this definitely needs to be addressed. Its traffic in the router must have the lowest priority, maybe with QoS. Also, as I wrote in another post, I'm sure that anyone who considers using it on regular basis, will highly appreciate an easier way to have current blocklist than running SSH script every time it's updated.
