Hi,

In current version of Merlin FW QOS is behaving little bit strangly:

- traditional QOS - priorities defined per MAC address
- router does not reflect this in speed setting for download
- only exchange from MAC address definition to IP address definition solve this
- furthermore, in previous version in defining priority (highest, high,...) - was able to use 0 - no limit. In current version it seems that this definition is not working

I don't understand the details, and it's frustrating, but everyone seems to agree that Traditional QOS is hopelessly broken, both on RMerlin and ASUS firmware. The adaptive QOS kindof works, but is improved with a script from user FreshJR (search on it in the forums).

Edit:
I see that RMerlin notes for the latest firmware include:
"
  • Revised Traditional QoS implementation. Downstream traffic for instance should no longer be incorrectly throttled.
"
So maybe the traditional QOS isn't hopeless.
