Hello everybody!
I live in an area with really bad broadband, so my home internet comes via my Android phone (with unlimited LTE data) plugged into an Asus ac51u.
I'm pretty happy with the setup overall, and am impressed with the features. However, I'd like to block some annoying ip ranges and the ac51u doesn't block https. So then I had the idea of using OpenDNS, and blocking the ip addresses from within there.
But I've hit yet another snag, in that the ac51u doesn't let me change DNS settings in USB mode. They're present in wired-WAN mode but they disappear as soon as I switch to USB mode.
So what's going on here, and how do I get around it? Is there something I can use for Android? I know that the stock tethering app won't act as a VPN passthrough, so wouldn't the same apply for any DNS changes?
