We would like to try and get 500ft. strictly outside with no obstructions.

I usually use Asus routers with Merlin software, not sure if one of the newer routers would make sense like an RT-AX58U.

would just hope to make 2.4GHz connection.

I have no idea if this is even worth trying.

Thanks for ideas.

500 feet is most likely not going to happen with any all-in-one, even retrofitted with higher dBi antennas at maximum wattage and amplification.

What's the use-case here? Perhaps we can help suggest other alternatives to help you accomplish what you're looking to do.

I was thinking a powerline adapter, I am pretty sure they are on different power tho.

just trying to help a friend get internet to his yard office that is 500 ft. from the main building that has a cable connection.

they can not dig with too many pipes in the ground.

thanks again!

If you have clear line-of-sight between the two points, you could use a pair of outdoor bridges.

You would probably want the Pro version and you'd need to aim them accurately.

Powerline can work across different breaker panel circuits, but not across transformers.
But 500 feet would be pushing it and not likely to work.

I just found out, different transformers.

there is a clear line of sight. this might be the only option.

thanks again for this.
