Very interesting. So what would be the practical impact of this?

Looks like they fixed it - having an RFC1918 address in public DNS is never good...

Yes, interesting. It is not reachable as you cannot route private IP addresses on the public internet as they are dropped. It had to be a typo on a DNS entry.
