Missing ldconfig for RT-AC68U workaround?

I just realized that the router doesn't have the ldconfig binary and that others have relied on Entware to get it. Since Entware isn't for ARM devices, what have others used to get the system to recognize a new library file?

I've tried copying over all the ldconfig files from the toolchain folders, but none run (It's that typical error one gets when attempting to run a binary for a different host).

line 1: syntax error: unexpected "("

I also get the same error when attempting to pull from openwrt (Via the install Download Manager trick) but even that ldconfig doesn't run properly.

No one has compiled something for the RT-AC68U that required a separate library file?

I've also run into this problem with the RT-AC56U.

Have you found a solution meanwhile?
