New Around Here
Attempting to install openssh on rt-ax86u all is working except the user password keeps saying that it is expired. I've updated the shadow file to remove expiration and added the appropriate SED command so that it survives the boot.

Anyone else had luck.

I am using openssh in the hopes I can get MS Visual Studio Code to connect and edit files...

Have you tried the built-in ssh server?

As long as the built-in server is disabled is shouldn't interfere, but you may have to use a different port for openssh.
I'm just using my limited experience because of the lack of responses you've had.

Never used Entware openssh, but are you looking at the files in /opt/etc?
