Would like to test DNS filtering is working under the parental control tab, (1) how can I check each device that's connected my router, its DNS path? (2) How can I validated Norton children setting work properly on each device, without typing a XXX web sites in?

Many thanks for your assistance.

Router= Asus RT-N66N
Merlin= 374.41

I'm having best results with "OpenDNS Family" filter setting.

Do a ipconfig /flushdns and close your browser.
Then you can surf to http://www.opendns.com/welcome/ for validating you setting.

It should tell you:
"WELCOME TO OPENDNS!
Your Internet is safer, faster, and smarter
because you’re using OpenDNS.

Thank you!"

But remember, nothing is perfect.

You could also try www.playboy.com it's not that offensive because you're not logged in.

Good luck. :)

Two answers for this. If you are technical, you can use a tool like nslookup to verify the IP address of a known adult domain and see the results.

So for example, I am using CleanBrowsing and I can verify the nslookup of playboy like Builder71 suggested:

$ nslookup playboy.com
Server: 185.228.168.168
** server can't find playboy.com: NXDOMAIN

That means it worked (see NXDOMAIN).

The second answer is on how to test and confirm your DNS filter is good. I found this article comparing alternatives:

https://hackernoon.com/porn-filters...rowsing-norton-yandex-and-adguard-41f207062c4

Which I recommend reading when evaluating your choices. They include a long list of bad domains that you can check.
