Dirty upgrade on my RT-AC87U. Thanks for the firmware.
+1 - coming from 384.12 with no issues (all below services work)! :)

That may be true. I updated both routers to 384.13. Before the update BOTH routers were performing very similar heat wise. I am waiting for a ebay order of thermal pads/fans before I take on opening the case and taking a look. right now using active cooling -- that one is still running hot (not to the touch on the case, just on the GUI)
Some discussion:

https://www.reddit.com/r/HomeNetwor...asus_rtac68u_stops_working_after_getting_hot/

There were some discussion on the internet about ASUS screwed the heatsink too tight on some of the AC68U, causing it to bend a little and lose contact with the CPU. Some people losened the screws a little, some others reapplied thermal pastes. These all helped somewhat.

I am not sure if that was the exact assembly line problem, but I have read that for sure there has been some problems with improperly seated heatsinks.

(And before you say anything. Yes, I know, the TM-AC1900 is not supported... :p :D

So, apparently it will never auto logout of the web interface anymore. Mine's always been set to 60 min but I haven't had to log in for 2 days since installing this.

Out of nothing my AX-88U started to reboot.

(I have two RT-AC5300 running the same firmware and ... never spontaneously reboot.)

Interesting, it didn't work for me. Can you please connect to the router via ssh and run 'robocfg show' and paste here the result?

Updated yesterday on my 86U, now devices on my guest network can’t see each other.

Before the update my brother use to be able to cast YouTube videos from his phone to the living room TV which is also on the guest network, now the YouTube app doesn’t show the TV.

The only change was updating to 384.13.
I tested reverting to 384.12 and this issue was resolved, upgrading back to 384.13 broke things again, so you've definitely broken something in 384.13.

Guest network/s have an on/off toggle for this.
Did you select the right one? (Access intranet y/n).

@RMerlin I find that when denying internet access to my printer through the connections list (on my AX88U), my network loses internet access entirely. Once I set the device to have access to the internet again the network has access too. This worked fine on 384.12 and for that matter 384.12 alpha and beta versions. The log shows an error when applying NAT rules.
Code:
Aug 2 08:09:59 nat: apply nat rules (/tmp/nat_rules_eth0_eth0) error!

Try both at this point.

I have access intranet off as I don’t want people on my guest network accessing devices on my non guest networks. The TV and phones are on the guest network and are able to cast to the TV on 384.12, just not on 384.13.

AX88U has cpu speed power management, but it off by default. Any idea on it or off?
Asus disabled it, likely because it caused a problem. Enable it at your own risk, it may cause you problems.

Try it enabled... maybe it's acting like AP isolate when disabled.

Upgraded my 86U from 384.12 -> .13 via the WebUI - no problems.

With this release, all of my Chromecast devices consistently show up as as targets in my apps and Chrome browser! I assume it is due to the "IGMP Snooper daemon crashing" fix.
