I'm trying to configure my OpenVPN settings and I was unable to add or delete a VPN user at the router. I decided to see if the issue was reproducible via the SSH nvram route.
I cleared the parameter vpn_serverx_clientlist and the list in the GUI was also cleared. So I suspect it's an issue with the length of an encrypted password.
I re-added a user & password via the GUI and then re-checked the setting via nvram.
I was surprised to see the password I'd set in cleartext.
Is anyone else seeing the same behaviour?
asus@ROUTER:/tmp/home/root# nvram get vpn_serverx_clientlist
<cleartext>mypasswordincleartext
UPDATE: After rebooting, the password is now encrypted.
