Long time lover of Merlin's work, but seldom post.
Will be installing a new beefy FreeNas server this weekend using a very cheaply acquired TS140 server from Lenovo (i3+c226+ Intec NIC+ 16gb ECC Ram).
Aside from enabling jumbo frames, is there any other settings that you recommend I engage to maximize network productivity in a RT-n66u sporting Merlin's latest 376.44 build?
This is primarily a media / backup server, but I will be using BT sync and Plex among several concurrent clients at a time. I have no intent to use VPN or LACP yet, but from what I read the rt-n66u LACP is buggy (?).
What I don't know about servers would fill a library, so I am kindly asking all you geniuses in the know for any major time saving settings within the router configuration settings?
Please and thank you.
