Thecus’ 4-bay N4820U NAS series, composed of a single power supply model (N4820U-S) and a redundant power supply model (N4820U-R), was designed and priced with SMB and SOHO customers in mind.

The N4820U NAS is powered by an Intel Celeron N3450 Quad-Core processor (1.1 GHz burst to 2.2 GHz) and uses 4 GB of DDR3 RAM (upgradable to 8 GB). The new series supports RAID 0, 1, 2, 5, 6, and 10 storage configurations, and has a GbE interface, four USB 2.0 ports, and two USB 3.0 ports.

Bundled software includes Acronis True Image and Intel Security packages, as well as the full feature set that comes along with ThecusOS 7.0.

The new N4820U series is taking over for the previous N4510 Pro line, and is available now. The Thecus N4820U-R is priced at $919, while the N4820U-S is priced at $670.
