New Around Here
Hi all and thanks for taking the time to kindly consider my question!

I just bought this router and so far it seems awesome, I also just signed up to Virgin Media fibre and am in a 120Mb area. Speeds at the router are excellent, always 75Mb to 105Mb.

I was REALLY excited to have the prospect of attaching a USB drive direct to the router to serve my home network, and then blown away by the ability to use that drive to directly download torrent files to, without leaving any computer in the house on. This uses the ASUS app, 'Download Master'.

However,

I subscribe to a VPN service and only want to download from behind their remote server in the same way I do with my Macbook having set up the VPN connection in Network Preferences.

I can't find any way of achieving this using Download Master, and believe if I start downloading BT traffic without going through my VPN provider, I will soon be throttled and be open to threatening letters and all the other bullying tactics that I keep reading about in the torrent forums.

Can any one advise if this is possible using either Download Master, the main connection settings, or a third party client that might be installed as part of alternative firmware etc?

Ideally I don't want to route ALL traffic through the remote VPN server as it halves the speed of my connection (to a still a very healthy 50Mb).

Thanks a million for ANY advice given on this one.

Most appreciated!
