I'm seeing the following errors in the system log of my RT-AX86u. Latest firmware: 3.0.0.4.388_20566. I don't remember seeing them before, but I haven't been actively looking at the logs. Everything seems to be working ok.
I have Aimesh setup with main RT-AX86u and node RT-AX86u using 2.5gb...
If this is for someone like a child, where you are admin for their PC. Remove admin rights on their PC and setup a computer policy that doesn't allow them to change the DNS.
Yeah. I did. He gave me a router and his worked. So I let him go. Figured I just had to tweak something in my router.
I tried mine while he was here and it didn't work until I made that vlan setting change after he left..
I'm not using their router now. Just plugged directly into the ONT.
Got Quantum Fiber (aka Centurylink) fiber installed today. Came with a C4000XG Geenwave Wireless Router. Seemed ok, but I have 2 RT-AZ86Us.
Disconnected the Centurylink router and initially Couldn't get my Asus router working with the service.
I read about getting a PPOE password and...
That will only let you pick sites that are physically close to you. I'm about 100 miles from the Denver area. Ideally, I'd like to be able to test against Denver test sites. Using the Ookla app on my phone or a PC, I'm able to pick other locations.
Anyone know if there is a way to trick/manually change the location of an Asus router, so that you can pick a speed test that it outside of your local area? I'm in a very rural area. The sites available in the Asus Speed test/Ookla test in my local area, are not good sites for testing higher...
Forget it.. one of the sites, actually gave me a faster speed. Still.. any way of overriding the geographic area that is used in an Asus Router Speed Test?
so.. I guess the possibilities are that:
- My cable modem isn't provisioned correctly. Doubtful, as I've tried two different brands of cable modem.
-I'm in a rural area and the OKTA speedtest that is built-in to the modem only has ISPs that aren't that fast.
Is there any way to see what speed...
Seems like this person was able to get faster... I'm not sure if this is with a bandwidth tester, or if this is just advertised wireless speed.

I have an RT-AX86u connected to a an Arris S33 Cable modem using the 2.5GB ports on both devices. I'm on Xfinity/Comcast 1.2GB service. I was wondering if anyone was able to get speeds in the built-in router download speed test better than 950MB or so?
I know individual clients won't be...
So I have two AX86u devices using wired aimesh. I also just updated my cable modem to a Motorola mb8611 with a 2.5gb port, Xfinity 1200Mbps service.
Is it better for me to use the 2.5gb ports to connect using Aimesh? It is it better for me to use the primary routers 2.5gb port with the cable...
Ok. I know this is a stupid question, but I tried Aiprotection and configured my Gmail account in alert settings. I have my Gmail account setup too securely and decided I didn't want to use it anymore.
When I go into alert settings it won't let me change back to blank setting. How do I...
I currently have an RT-AX86u as my main router and an RT-AC86u as a node. I'm getting another RT-AX86u. Can I just remove the old node and add the new AX86 as a node? or do a I need to reset the main router first?
