I have an AIMesh setup using an AX56U as the mesh node, and AX58U as the primary. I’ve recently upgraded them from a 384 variant of MerlinWRT (.19 iirc) to 386.2.6 for both units.
It’s working great, very stable, good throughout for our connection speed, connectivity everywhere that we need it.
The only oddity I’ve found is that the AIMesh section of the router software never shows any throughput. It shows all the clients on the mesh node, just nothing passing through, even when running data intensive stuff like
streaming or speedtest.
It always looks like this:
The main router status shows all sorts of info and lots of throughput.
So not sure if the mesh node is supposed to be showing status and isn’t, if it’s a bug, etc. But I figured I’d mention it…
