New Around Here
Recently was gifted a new external harddrive (Seagate Ultra Touch 2TB HDD) and wanted to add it to my existing samba share. Upon plugging it in it appears in the device list, but is not navigable and the content wheel is a spinning death loop. Tried the USB 2.0 an 3.0 ports, samba protocal 1, 2 and 1/2. I have my old drive connected and assessible via the samba share. The drive is accessible when plugged into the laptop usbs.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

By chance is the drive formatted to EXT4? If so format to EXT3 and try again.

I believe the drive comes pre-formatted with exFAT which the router doesn't support. Format it as NTFS and try again.

Yeah, just checked and the driver is default formatted with exFAT. Going to move my data and reformat. Thanks for the quick responses!
