Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.5 is now available

Did you try unplugging the router for 15 seconds then plugging it back in? That resolved problems I was having with the router after an update in the past.
For the first time in a long time I had to do this too. I used MerlinAU FWIW, but to be fair to @ExtremeFiretop I don’t think it makes any difference what you use.

Normally it just comes back by itself but this time showed “internet disconnected,” even after I waited a while and even after a soft reboot.

It’s fine for my local router update but means for my remote router I’ll probably need someone to physically switch it on and off. I know it’s not recommended to do this update remotely, but I wonder what causes the difference between FW updates and if a more reliable “back on line” sequence I can control exists, or whether the post FW update restart could be configured (as part of the update) e.g. to enable the various services with small ‘waits’ between them (if that is what might help, just extrapolating wildly here), to result in the same state as pre-update.
