Merlin 3004_388.10_alpha1 (now 3004_388.10_alpha2 for most devices)

Asus just released GT-AX11000_3.0.0.4_388_24444 firmware. Is this firmware newer then this alpha from Merlin?
Here is how RMerlin explains the GPL's he gets from Asus:
I get code directly from Asus, it's unrelated to what's released on their website. I have particular requirements that their developers need to meet when preparing the archives, like having the same code base for all models, which is rarely the case with their own firmware releases.

This thread has nothing to do with GT-BE98 since it is firmware 3006.102, not 3004.388.
It was a general reply based on availability of GPL code being supplied by Asus; basically Asus late giving over again. If its affecting one branch it's probably affecting another. On another thread it was stated a while ago that GNUTON was waiting on Asus for GPL by Merlin, and then Merlin's post appears saying End of September, so it's like the GPL for the other branch release could be then or even after, which is one whopping delay.

Asus isn't being late here. Look at the date of my post about Gnuton's GPL. He hadn't asked for it earlier because he didn't have time to work on his project until recently. Asus sent him not that long after he asked for it. It's a different version than what I last merged, so Gnuton will need time to merge it, and resolve any new issue that it may introduce.

As for the 388 GPL, I received the initial "end of September" ETA over a month ago, at the time Asus were busy with other higher priority projects before they could get back to me with these older GPLs. That's when I decided to do all my intended backports and push these test builds out. That was a month ago. I actually just received most of the 388 models just yesterday, 3 weeks ahead of the initial ETA.

Didn't or don't remember trying with Alpha1, not supported anyway. But using the ASUS router App on an iPhone, even after resetting it, removing and reinstalling, selecting Advanced when signing in the first time and using either 8443 or 80. You now only get basic information. Anything other than that, you get a "Conection Failed". Only devices that show up are the Router and in my case, the Nodes. Under 3004.388.9.2 this wasn't the case. But again, the App isn't supported when using Merlin Firmware. Not a problem, just an observation or a FYI if you will.

I did not try it with Merlin on the Router and stock Firmware on the Nodes to see if or how it worked.
Your observations may be different 🤷‍♂️

Setup for both 80 & 8443 if curious...

I use a custom blocklist: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jumpsmm7/GeneratedAdblock/master/filter.list

Edit:
Just a guess—but since the custom blocklist is quite large, Skynet might be taking a long time to load it.
It’s possible that a timeout is being triggered, causing Skynet to exit prematurely?

Have 3 AX88U, 1 for router, and the 2 others as nodes.
Running 100% with 3004_388.9_2 and also with 3004_388.10_alpha1
Now upgraded all to alpha2, but now I can't login to the router, sometimes it work, but when pressing a menu, I get a white page and the message " can have problems"
Successfully downgraded nodes by the deep link https://x.x.x.x:8443/AiMesh_Node_FirmwareUpgrade.asp
But on main router I have no deep link,
Tried ASUS Firmware Restoration, but the router goes out of rescue mode as soon as I try to upload.
I have earlier set only accesss via https.
Any good ideas how to downgrade main router.
I have access via SSH
Can I downgrade via tftp ?
Can I set assess both http and https via nvram ?, how do I do that ?
