best 2015/2016 usb adapter?

what's the best that money can buy? currently using asus usb-n66 . its acting up recently in that swapping it with an identical usb-n66 from another computer results in less latency in (diablo).


router is asus ac68u. but may change to asus ac88u someday

I also am looking into upgrading my laptop with a decent usb adapter and wonder what is a decent one for performance and range. Currently running a dell 1704 wireless card but I have usb 3.0 ports available if that helps.
